We are forever grateful for the Fisher House Foundation, as our family has been very fortunate to have a place to stay while our baby boy is in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in El Paso. Both my husband and I are active-duty Air Force members stationed at Holloman AFB, New Mexico, which is 1.5 hours away from the local hospital in Alamogordo, NM, to El Paso because they did not have the services needed to take care of a premature baby. I ended up having my baby boy at 23 weeks pregnant March 19, 2024. We are now awaiting the release of my son from the NICU which has been a long and tough journey for our family. Having a Fisher House in El Paso has taken a tremendous burden off our shoulders of having to figure out where we could stay while our son is in the hospital. On top of that we have a 2 year-old-daughter and having somewhere to stay that would be comfortable enough for her too was important. The staff at the Fisher House have been amazing and have made our 62-day stay, and counting, comfortable. We are so thankful!
