Fisher House Breaks Ground At Dayton VA Medical Center
Fisher House Foundation joined the Dayton VA Medical Center to break ground on a new Fisher House to serve military and veterans’ families. The 16-suite Fisher House will provide a free, temporary refuge for families supporting their loved one hospitalized for wounds, injuries, or illnesses. The Dayton Fisher House is expected to open in 2018.
“We are thrilled to continue to expand the network of Fisher Houses in Ohio,” said David Coker, president of Fisher House Foundation. “Thanks to the generosity of this community, this new Fisher House will serve our veterans and their families for years to come.”
Construction of this Fisher House is supported by: Greener Pastures Foundation, Cardinal Health, Fisher-Nightingale Houses, Inc., and the generosity of the Dayton community.
