The farm equipment dealer Hoober Inc. held a benefit truck and tractor pull in October, raising $5,000 for Fisher House.
Fisher House is not-for-profit organization that provides housing near military medical facilities to enable families to live near injured soldiers undergoing rehabilitation.
Held at Chestertown Elks Lodge, Hoober employees George Bradley and Dave Wharry co-hosted the pull, and NH Global provided T-shirts to help raise additional funds for the event. The activities also featured antique tractors, as well as stock and modified tractors and trucks.
This year marked the third consecutive year that Hoober Inc. has hosted a benefit truck and tractor pull, and it plans to continue the tradition next year.
