George Mason Ice Hockey and USA Warriors exhibition game to benefit military families and Wounded Warriors

On Saturday, November 12th at 2:10PM, George Mason is proud to host the USA Warriors Ice Hockey team (comprised of wounded military service members) for an exhibition game to benefit Fisher House Foundation. The event is being conducted to raise $20,000 for Fisher House Foundation which supports the families of military service members who are receiving treatment at Department of Defense medical centers.

Tickets for this special game are $10 each – all funds will go to Fisher House Foundation. Tickets may be purchased at the door (cash only) or may be reserved in advance by e-mailing GMU Head Coach Steve Hyjek at shyjek@hyjekfix.com
With a reservation, tickets will be set aside in your name for pick-up at the sales desk. Payment for tickets will be still be collected at the door. Reservations for tickets will not be taken after midnight NOV 9, 2011.

In addition to the hockey game, GMU Ice Hockey has secured NHL, NFL and MLB autographed items for silent auctions and raffles. Items include:

· Washington Capitals signed team signed jersey & stick / individual player-signed sticks & and pucks.

· Signed Nats baseballs from Bryce Harper, Tyler Clippard and Tyler LaRouche

· Baseball bat signed by Jason Werth

· Redskins team signed football

· Chris Cooley signed football jersey

There will also be a 50/50 raffle awarded following the games’ MVP award presentation at the end of the game, as selected by the game officials. Team sponsor Glory Days Grill will be operating a prize wheel of chance to help raise funds and there will, of course, be the Mason Ice Hockey T-shirt toss during the game!

As part of our community outreach, Mason Ice Hockey is proud to present this event along with our event patrons, team sponsors and Prince William Ice Center, which graciously donated the ice for the game. Our officials for the game will also volunteer their time, and each is a retired member of the Armed Forces. VIPs from the Department of Defense and George Mason University will also be in attendance for this special game.

Maximum attendance for this game is 700 – so get your tickets while they last.

The game will be played at the Prince William Ice Center located 8150  Dale Boulevard in Woodbridge, Virginia.
