Planned Systems International, Inc. (PSI), a respected provider of information technology solutions and services to the federal government, proudly announces that $7,336 was raised at its charity golf invitational held at Hawk’s Landing Golf Club in Orlando, Florida on February 20, 2011. Nearly 100 players came out to enjoy the sunny day and help raise funds for the Fisher House Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides housing near military treatment facilities for the families of seriously ill patients.
"We greatly appreciate all participants for their overwhelming generosity and support to make our tournament a success,” said Terry Lin, CEO, speaking from PSI's Arlington, Virginia office. "We couldn’t have done it without you.”
With support from US Navy volunteers, the tournament was held concurrent with two key conferences in the healthcare IT industry—the Medical Information Services Symposium (MISS) and the HIMSS 2011 Annual Conference & Exhibition.
Funds raised from the event totaled approximately $3,168. With PSI's 100% matching donation, and an additional $1,000 in donations from sponsors, a total of $7,336 was raised to benefit the Fisher House Foundation.
