The three charities that will benefit from “One Dream Swing For America,” are:
Fisher House Foundation http://www.fisherhouse.org
Because members of the military and their families are stationed worldwide and must often travel great distances for specialized medical care, Fisher House Foundation donates "comfort homes," built on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers. These homes enable family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful times - during the hospitalization for an unexpected illness, disease, or injury. Families are able to stay at the Fisher House for free, and reside at these homes as long as their loved one is hospitalized.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital http://www.stjude.org
The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing, or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live Because the majority of St. Jude funding comes from individual donations, St. Jude has the freedom to focus on what matters most – saving kids regardless of their financial situation. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to 80 percent since it opened 50 years ago. St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90%, by 2020. We won’t stop until no child dies from cancer.
Cherished Feet http://www.cherishedfeet.org
