Speedy Progress for Fisher House Build

Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity

01.15.13

Building work at Fisher House, the home from home for military patients and their families, continues apace.

The scaffolding at the front, as can be seen on the photo above, has now been taken down and the stone porch and columns at the front door will soon arrive.

Mike Hammond, chief executive of the QEHB Charity, said: “Every time we visit the site there is a significant difference and, as shown by the photo above, Fisher House is really taking shape.

“We are in the process of dressing one of the bedrooms and are looking forward to welcoming families and getting their feedback on the design. We want to ensure Fisher House is as close as possible to ‘a home from home’ for those in need.”
