March into Spring in style with the second annual fashion show and luncheon to benefit Tennessee Fisher House Foundation.

The event is set for 11 a.m. March 2 at Stones River Country Club. Tickets are already on sale for $30 each and can be purchased by phone, 615-904-2787, or in person at the Center for the Arts, 110 W. College St.

Tennessee Fisher House is under construction and will offer free lodging for veterans’ families who travel to the York VA Medical Center or the Nashville VA Hospital to be with their loved one during their hospitalization.

Shuttle services will be offered between the house in Murfreesboro and the Nashville VA Hospital. This house will be similar in concept to the Ronald McDonald houses. Fisher House has 58 houses in operation across the country at various military and VA Medical centers, as well as at Landstuhl Medical Center in Germany.

Melvin Kearney, who has a recurring role on the hit ABC television series “Nashville,” will be one of this year’s fashion show models.

Funds are still needed for construction as well as for financial assistance to provide for the families who will be guests once the house is completed.
