Sobieski Vodka to donate $250,000 to Audie Murphy Fisher House

Sobieski Vodka has agreed to become the title sponsor of the 2012 Gala & Golf Event benefiting the Audie Murphy Fisher House project in San Antonio.

The JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa, in partnership with the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, is hosting the Celebrate America’s Military Week program. The gala will be held on Friday, Nov. 9.

During the event, representatives for the vodka will give Fisher House a check for $250,000, which represents the culmination of money raised during the past year supporting the development of a new 16-suite Audie Murphy Fisher House in San Antonio.

Fisher Houses provide a home-away-from-home for military families with loved ones undergoing medical treatment. The Veterans Affairs’ South Texas Veterans Health Care System recently opened its Polytrauma Rehabilitation Center at Audie L. Murphy Memorial VA Hospital in San Antonio.
