Fisher House Foundation could not provide the beautiful “home away from homes” we do without generous support from our friends and supporters. This week was a shining example of what a community can do to support our service men and women and their loved ones.
Bonneville Seattle radio stations hosted a radiothon to help support a second Fisher House at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Tacoma, Washington, to serve the need of the growing number of military families. More than 750 donors combined to raise over $35,000 for Fisher House in one day. Fisher House manager and assistant manager Cecile Bagrow and Lorraine Thomas from the VA Puget Sound Fisher House also helped their sister house by taking donations throughout the day.
The team effort not only raised funds for a much needed home, but awareness for our service members and their families, who also make sacrifices to support this great nation of ours. Thank you to Bonneville Seattle and their listeners for your generous support of the Fisher House program!
