HURLBURT FIELD, Fla. -- The 505th Command and Control Wing will support a pancake breakfast benefiting the Fisher House of the Emerald Coast 8 to 10 a.m., Nov. 6 at the Magnolia Grill in Fort Walton Beach, Fla.
Wing members will provide wait staff, greeters, bus staff and dish washers for their Honorary Commander and Magnolia Grill Owner Tom Rice. Mr. Rice also serves as vice president of the Eglin Air Force Base-located Fisher House.
A minimum $5 donation is encouraged and all proceeds will go to supporting the Fisher House of the Emerald Coast. The new facility opened Sept. 10 as the 47th Fisher House and is located only steps away from the Eglin AFB hospital and veteran's clinic. It provides free lodging to military families of veterans receiving treatment at military medical centers.
The home boasts 12 family suites. Nationwide, the Fisher House program has offered more than three million days of lodging to people in need.
