An Indiana congressman is getting in the holiday spirit.
Joe Donnelly's racked up more than 80,000 miles this year, traveling back and forth to Washington, DC.
At a ceremony at the South Bend Regional Airport Friday, Donnelly handed over the miles to the Fisher House's "hero miles" program.
The money goes to injured members of the military and their families.
"What this is, is a chance to do is just to show our soldiers, our airmen, our Marines, our sailors, how dedicated all of us are to them, and that this is just a small, small way to try to make a repayment for their efforts," said Donnelly.
The miles add up to about two round-trip tickets.
The Fisher House and its "hero miles" program has provided around 16,000 plane tickets for injured veterans.
